Hidden close button for - Preview Pop-ups
When you have a pop-up window called up during a preview call (say gallery preview or catalogue preview) the close button at the top right is not visible or accessible in Firefox and Chrome. If there is no 'close' button at bottom of pop-up then user is stuck.

Hi Nelson,
The pattern that we're going to use for modals is to have a Close/Cancel button on their lower bar and remove the upper right cross icon.
If you find any modal that misses the buttons, please list them here and we're going to fix the problem in one of the upcoming releases.

Cristinel,
From using modals in most systems and seeing the close icon gone from the BC one I think it needs to go back in.
I keep looking for it, I expect it to be there because it is a modal window and I think our clients will always be looking for it as well.
I know a goal in UI Design is have one point of action not multiple as much as possible but I think this is one of those cases where this should be kept it.
What does everyone else think? -

Actually...
Looking at it more you have a fixed header on the modal window.
If your loosing the close button, and the fact you have to scroll to get the save/close buttons (which is a little annoying) maybe these can go in the top right? So they are in that permanent bar and accessible with ease and the close button being the last button would be near where the x icon would have been anyway, or inface that button actually be a close image graphic? -

Hi, thanks for your help on this! the close buttons on the modal windows are missing on the following (using in Firefox 8.0.1):
1.CRM: Preview|Print Packing Slip is gone.
2. WebForms: Preview Web Form
3. Blogs: View Blog Usage Report -
-
4. Photo Galleries: Preview
5. Comments: (Actions) Manage new comment rules
6 FAQs when editing Individual items:
a. (Actions) View FAQ usage report
b. (Actions) RSS Channel Items
d. (Actions) classify this item
d. (Actions) classify this item
7, Forums: (More Actions) Forum usage report
I want to add to this little bug-- at times the modal window is partially hidden at top or bottom of browser window with no scrollbars or any way to move it.
Also (important!) at times when the window is opening, the close (x) appears briefly then disappears. -

Just ran into same thing:
pop up previews of templates, or pop ups of webforms have no close option, or save/cancel/close are below the screen window an inaccessible. Am using Firefox with Partner v3 to edit. Am having to close toolbars to get to save button. The preview of template (from system messages editing) is now stuck on my screen with no way to close.-
Hope they fix this in next release. But in order not to lose your work, there is a little Save icon at the WYSISYG editor, that I use to save the chages in cases where the save button is not present. - Thought I should share that tip.

When I'm in the Ignored IP Address List there doesn't appear to be any Exit, Cancel options. If they're lower down the window, there aren't any scroll bars to get there. I'm using Chrome.

Hi everyone,
All the problems reported on this page have been closed, with the exception of the ones below, for which we're still displaying the old close buttons (little x's on upper right corner):
- Print Packing Slip
- Print Package Label
- Print Invoice
I will close this thread and add a new one with just these three.
